What is ReadyToHelp.org?
ReadyToHelp.org is a volunteer project that was created to assist local governments and volunteer organizations with web based communication tools and management tools to help address their specific needs. These sites are created to enable volunteers to share information with one another as to how different programs operate. They are also a resource for members of local communities to help them learn about what types of volunteer programs are available in their area. The web sites that make up the ReadyToHelp.org project are provided free of charge to counties and cities that utilize volunteers during emergency events, in addition to day to day operations.

How much does ReadyToHelp.org charge volunteers to use these services?
Absolutely nothing. Everything listed above is provided 100% for free to volunteers and their organizations.

How is ReadyToHelp.org funded?
Through donations and contributions and the help of our sponsors, we are able to keep building these websites, and providing these tools for free to any volunteer organization that can use our services.

Is ReadyToHelp.org available to Missouri only?
ReadyToHelp.org is something that is growing very quickly. Our future goals are to provide the services listed above to every city, in every county, in every state in this country. This is a huge goal to try and reach, so in order to make this a reality we have to focus on one area at a time. Currently we are working on Missouri. In the near future we will be expanding all of our services to the surrounding states, and as time goes on we will expand further.

Is every volunteer organization able to get a free website?
Our services are geared to emergency volunteer organizations that are associated with Citizen Corps. We have spent several years learning and researching the exact needs of emergency organizations. The tools and services we provide were selected, created, and utilized to better assist emergency volunteers provide their very important roles to their communities. There are several volunteer programs out there, and each one we are sure has a very important function in their community, but due to the number of programs that are available, we have had to limit our selves to Citizen Corps.

Are there any exceptions to the above rule?
Yes. Even though we specialize in Citizen Corp programs, we have tried to leave the door open to accommodate for as many "Emergency" volunteer organizations as possible. A fire department located in a rural part of the state would qualify to use our services. Even though the department may not be listed as a Citizen Corp program, they are still an emergency organization, they are providing a very important resource to their community. For that, we would be more than willing to tie them in to our systems. We are not here to turn people away, if you are a part of an organization that you feel is very important to your community, by all means please let us know. We can not promise that we will be able to build a website for you, but we will most definitely spend the time to learn about your organization and see what we can do to help you and try and assist you in meeting your needs.
